Crayfish party at Särkänlinna

Crayfish parties are about having fun and spending time with friends – a celebration of joy, laughter and the cool evenings of late summer. Finnish noble crayfish or signal crayfish are naturally the centrepiece of the table.

There is no right way to organise a crayfish party, and there is no need to stress: a crayfish party is always about delicious crayfish and good company.

CRAYFISH​

We serve both noble crayfish and signal crayfish traditionally cooked with toast, butter and dill.​

SIGNAL CRAYFISH​

According to WWF the best choice is signal crayfish catched from Finnish waters.
Therefore we favor signal crayfish in our selection.
Restaurant Särkänlinna´s signal crayfish are always selected Finnish signal crayfish.​
Our impressive crayfish platter always has crayfish over 11 cm in size.​
As an appetizer we recommend 10-12 crayfish/guest.​
For selected signal crayfish we charge the price of the day.​

FINNISH NOBLE CRAYFISH​

WWF has changed the noble crayfish classification from endangered to very endangered.
The availability of Finnish noble crayfish is nowadays limited and this affects highly on prices.

​Restaurant Särkänlinna´s crayfish are always selected Finnish noble crayfish.​
Our impressive crayfish platter has mainly crayfish sized 10,5 – 11 cm.​
As an appetizer we recommend 6-12 crayfish/guest.​
For selected noble crayfish we charge the price of the day.
